Ensure your products arrive safely and quickly to an Amazon fulfillment center by following these important requirements for shipping labels and packaging your inventory.
Once you decide what you are shipping to Amazon and determine the appropriate shipping method and carrier to use, it's time for labeling and packaging.
View the Packaging and prep requirements, and share this information with your distributor or supplier when they send directly to Amazon. Check back periodically for updates.
Each box and pallet you ship to an Amazon fulfillment center, including units sent in a manufacturer box, must be properly identified with a unique box ID and pallet label.
Follow these guidelines for labeling your boxes:
You can print shipment labels within the shipment creation workflow. If you have already created your shipment, you can access your shipment from the shipping queue.
When you provide box content information during the shipment creation workflow, each box ID label will contain the information for a specific box. To avoid delays in receiving your inventory at the fulfillment center, make sure to put the correct label on the correct box. We recommend you verify that the SKU and number of units in each box match the SKU and number of units in the box content information you provided in the shipment creation workflow. For more information, go to Box content information for FBA shipments to Amazon.
To void charges, do the
following:
Within the shipping workflow is the option to take advantage of Amazon's discounted shipping rates through the Partnered Carrier program.
In the Select carrier screen of the workflow, select Small parcel delivery as your shipping method and Amazon-partnered carrier as the SPD carrier. After you click Save & continue, enter the number of packages and the weight of each package.
The delivery workflow will provide an estimate for the shipment. If you accept the charges, your account will be billed for the cost of shipping.
After you've completed your shipment, give your box to your regularly scheduled UPS pickup driver or take the package to a local UPS location. If you are located in Germany, you can also drop off your package at a DHL collection point.
If you decline the charges, you will be returned to the Select carrier screen so you can select another carrier option.
In the Select carrier screen of the workflow, select Less than truckload (LTL) as your shipping method and Amazon-partnered carrier as the LTL Carrier.
After you click Save & continue, enter the number of packages and the weight of each package. Non-stackable pallets shipped to the UK fulfillment center must not exceed 120 x 100 x 180 cm (L x W x H). Non-stackable pallets shipped to a fulfillment center outside of the UK must not exceed 120 x 80 x 180 cm. We do not allow pallets to be stacked.
Then enter the enter pallet information for your shipment.
For partnered carrier LTL shipments, you will also be asked to enter your preferred shipment pick-up date (‘freight ready date’). This can be any date in the next 2 weeks, any shipments scheduled for more than two weeks in advance will not be accepted. Also, enter the declared value of the shipment and confirm the primary contact person.
The shipping workflow will provide an estimate for the shipment. If you accept the charges, your account will be billed for the cost of shipping.
The day before the shipment pickup, we will send you an email confirming the details of your shipment. Separately, the assigned carrier will send an email to organize final details of your shipment pickup. Ensure you print the Amazon confirmation email and get the carrier to sign this when they collect your goods, as this can be used as a proof of pickup.
If you decline the charges, you will be returned to the Select carrier screen so you can select another carrier option.
