Amazon Partnered Carrier program – overview and getting started

Important: For a one-year period starting April 12, 2022, we will provide an average discount of 50% on Amazon Partnered Carrier program fees for domestic FBA shipments sent to fulfillment centers in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Important: As of April 12, 2022, UPS no longer links boxes in the same partnered-carrier shipment together on ups.com. To schedule collections for multiple-box partnered-carrier shipments on the UPS website, enter one tracking ID from your shipment and then specify the box quantity in the “Service and package information” section. After your shipment has been collected, you can track all boxes in a partnered-carrier shipment using the Track shipment page of Send to Amazon.
Important: On January 1, 2021, we updated the workflow for shipments between the UK and the EU using the Amazon Partnered Carrier program. Amazon-partnered carrier options

This page provides information about the Amazon-partnered carrier options that are available to FBA sellers for small parcel deliveries (SPD) within the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Poland, and the Netherlands, and less-than-truckload/full truckload (LTL/FTL) shipments (also called pallet shipments) within the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy.

  • Small parcel deliveries consist of units packed in boxes, and each box is individually labeled for delivery. These are typically smaller shipments that are sent via UPS or Amazon (DHL-managed) in Germany.
  • Pallet shipment combines individual boxes on pallets for delivery. These are typically shipped via UPS Freight or Kuehne+Nagel.

Amazon-partnered small parcel delivery carrier

As of May 19, 2022, the Amazon Partnered Carrier program for small parcel deliveries is available for sellers shipping from a Poland based address to Amazon fulfillment centers in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and from a Sweden based address to Amazon fulfillment centers in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Sweden.

When preparing your shipment to a fulfillment center via the shipment creation workflow, you will see an option to use Amazon or an Amazon-partnered carrier, in the Delivery services section.

Note: For cross-border shipments, this option will only be enabled for eligible shipments. Only small parcel deliveries that originate from France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands, and are delivered to any of our European fulfillment centers (excluding the UK) are permitted. Shipments originating from or to the UK may be temporarily ineligible for our Partnered Carrier program. Partnered carrier shipments originating from the Netherlands or Poland are only eligible to be sent to fulfillment centers in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

To participate in this program, follow these steps:


  1. Select Amazon partnered carrier in the shipment creation workflow.
  2. Enter the details of your delivery. You will receive an estimate of the delivery charges.
  3. Before accepting the delivery charges, carefully review the Amazon Partnered Carrier terms and conditions, and also the UPS SCS (UK) Limited FBA - Seller Terms and Conditions of Carriage if you are using the partnered carrier UPS (UK, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Poland, and the Netherlands).
  4. Click Accept charges.
  5. After you have prepared your delivery, contact your carrier to schedule the pickup. For scheduling a collection with our partnered carrier DHL, go directly to the DHL website. Alternatively, you can take the package to a local carrier’s collection center.

Delivery charges are based on the dimensions and weight of the parcels or pallets, the address where the shipment originated and the destination fulfillment center. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if Amazon or the carrier determines that the actual weight or dimensions of the package are different from the weight or dimensions provided by you. Note: FBA units must be packaged according to requirements from Amazon and your carrier. For more information, go to Packaging and prep requirements.
Important: The Amazon Partnered Carrier program prohibits transporting dangerous goods or hazardous material (hazmat). For more information, go to Shipping and routing requirements.

Amazon-partnered pallet carrier

To participate in partnered carrier pallet shipments, follow these steps:


  1. Select Amazon Partnered Carrier in the Delivery service section of the shipment creation workflow.
    Note: This option will only be enabled for eligible stores and postcodes.
  2. Enter the details of your delivery. You will receive an estimate of the delivery charges. You will also receive an estimated pickup date. It will be either on the freight-ready date or two days from when the estimate has been accepted, whichever is later.
  3. Before accepting the delivery charges, carefully review the Amazon Partnered Carrier Program terms and conditions for participation in the program, and also either UPS SCS (UK) Limited FBA - Seller Terms and Conditions of Carriage if you are using the partnered carrier UPS (UK), or Kuehne + Nagel LTL Terms and Conditions (Germany, France, Spain or Italy).
  4. Click Accept charges.
  5. After you have completed your shipment, the carrier will email the point of contact for your business, which is provided during the shipment booking, on the day before the shipment is due to be picked up.

Delivery charges are based on the quantity, dimensions and weight of pallet or pallets, the address from which the delivery originated, and the destination fulfillment center. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if Amazon or the carrier determines that the actual weight or dimensions of the package are different from the weight or dimensions provided by you, if the products on the pallets need to be re-stacked, or if the pallets have been damaged.

Canceling an Amazon-partnered carrier shipment

You can cancel Amazon or Amazon-partnered small parcel delivery shipments up to 24 hours after approving the estimated shipping charges.

For Amazon-partnered pallet shipments, you can cancel up to one hour after approving the estimated shipping charges.

Go to your shipping queue and follow these steps:

  1. Locate the shipment and click Work on shipment.
  2. Click the Provide details tab.
  3. Click Void charges.

Note: Canceling the delivery does not cancel the charges. You must follow the instructions above to ensure that a pickup doesn’t take place and that charges don’t apply. If 24 hours have passed since you approved the charges, you will not be able to cancel the charges or receive a refund for small parcel shipments.

You can cancel the charges for Amazon-partnered pallet shipments up to one hour after you have approved the charges. If your shipment pickup date is more than two business days away, you must cancel your shipment in Seller Central and create a case with Selling Partner Support to request a refund. DHL

To help make your inbounding experience more efficient with DHL follow the below guidance:

  1. Packaging:

    Minimum or Maximum parcel measurements 15cm x 11 cm x 1 cm or 120cm x 60cm x 60cm (rectangular shape)
    Additional marking as heavy goods Parcels heavier than 20 kg up to maximum weight (31.5kg) need to be marked with a red tape as heavy.
  2. Package Material:

    The outer packaging of a parcel should be in the form of a box, not plastic bags or other used material. Items should be packed safely, with no sharp corners sticking out.

  3. Labelling:

    To prevent delays shipping parcels, labels need to be in the right position and not be covered. No unnecessary barcodes should be placed onto the box, and the DHL label barcodes must be clearly visible. Use a label quality of at least SRP class B.

    • Label must be evenly and completely placed on the biggest side of parcel
    • Barcodes that are not part of the shipping label must be printed on the same (biggest) side of the parcel as well as the shipping label
    • Label should not be covered even partially
    • No reflecting material should be on the label

Amazon Marketplace Web Service (MWS)

Amazon MWS also includes Amazon-partnered carrier options. For more information, go to Introducing Selling Partner API.

To enable this service, follow these steps in Seller Central:

  1. Go to Settings > Fulfillment by Amazon .
  2. Click Edit next to Amazon Partnered Carrier (Small Parcel Deliveries) - MWS Settings.
  3. For each Amazon store in which you want to use the service, click the checkbox to accept the relevant terms and conditions of both Amazon and your carrier.

Note: Amazon MWS is not available for partnered carrier pallet shipments.
