Requirements for FBA products sold as New

To promote a positive buyer experience on Amazon, it is important to ensure that inventory shipped to Amazon fulfillment centers as "New" products, whether Labeled Inventory or Stickerless, Commingled Inventory arrive in good condition and without defects.

If the outer shipping boxes have visible damage upon arrival at the fulfillment center, they may be rejected.

  • Items sold as "new" need to be in brand new, unused condition. Items will be inspected in the fulfillment center. If there are scratches, scuffing, dents, wear and tear, creases, or more beyond what is considered to be acceptable for a new item, it will be marked as unsellable.
  • Items sold as “Used” will also be inspected and will only be marked as unsellable if they are deemed to be unsuitable, e.g. not fit for purpose, parts missing, unusable, unhygienic, etc.
  • Wrongly labelled or defective products may be marked as unsellable upon reception. Products that are prohibited from sale through FBA or Amazon will be marked as unsellable and disposed upon reception.

Amazon does not take responsibility for products that are received in this condition. Most carriers assume limited liability for damage or loss in transit, depending on the cause. If your units are damaged during transit, we recommend filing a damage claim with your carrier. Amazon is not responsible for damage during shipment to our fulfillment centers.
