The first time you convert your listings for Fulfilment by Amazon, you will be asked if you wish to send us your inventory using existing UPC or EAN barcodes for “Stickerless, Commingled Inventory” or using labels you affix to the individual units for “Labelled Inventory”. In the latter case, the label must cover the original barcode completely.
Commingling your inventory allows Amazon to combine your inventory to inventory belonging to Amazon or to other sellers which is of the same type and condition. When a customer purchases an item from your inventory, we do not physically distinguish your inventory from that of other sellers. This enables us to process customer orders more efficiently.
Please note that the “Stickerless, Commingled Inventory” option refers to individual product units, not the shipment. All shipments sent to our Fulfilment Centres require shipping labels.
No. In order for a product to qualify for “Stickerless Commingling”, it must meet the following criteria:
Some items in other product categories can also be restricted from commingling and will need to be stickered.
To prevent delays in processing your inventory, certain other products may not be eligible for Stickerless Commingling.
Note: Non-EU sellers are not eligible for Stickerless Commingling.
Further information can be found on the “Stickerless, Commingled Inventory” page.
If you have previously declined the Stickerless, Commingled preference, you can still change your inventory from “Labelled” to “Stickerless, Commingled Inventory” yourself at any time by following the steps below.
As a result, you will no longer need to label qualifying individual items as you prepare shipments.
If any of your products do not qualify for Stickerless, Commingling, you can still fulfil them through Fulfilment by Amazon if you print labels and affix them to each unit before sending them to our Fulfilment Centres.
When you create a new shipping plan through the “Actions/Send/Replenish Inventory” option in the “Manage Inventory” page of your Seller Account or you work on an existing shipping plan which has not yet been completed, you will be guided through each step in the preparation of your shipment to an Amazon Fulfilment Centre. Whenever the inventory requires labelling, you can print unit labels from this workflow. Item labels can also be printed through the “Actions/Print Item Labels” option on the Manage Inventory page of your Seller Account. Labels will bear the product title to help you match the label to the correct product.
Blank adhesive labels can be found at any office supply store or can be purchased the Amazon website.
If we encounter mislabelled products at our Amazon’s Fulfilment Centres, we may decide to re-label the products correctly to make them available for sale or return them to you. We may charge you an Unplanned Service Fee if we do the labelling for you.
Yes. When you create a new shipping plan through the “Actions/Send/Replenish Inventory” option in the "Manage Inventory" page of your Seller Account or you work on an existing shipping plan which has not yet been completed, you are guided through the preparation of your shipment to an Amazon Fulfilment Centre and you will be allowed to choose the Amazon Label Service at product level.
Please refer to the “FBA Fees“ section of the Fulfilment by Amazon > “Pricing” page on our marketing website for further details concerning fees for this service.
Each unit you ship to us should be ready for us to pack and ship to your customers. For example, fragile items need to be individually packed with protective material, such as Styrofoam or bubble wrap. Otherwise, Amazon will reserve the right to return those items to you.
