If you are currently selling handmade products in a different category on Amazon, and those products meet the Amazon Handmade criteria, you can re-list them in Amazon Handmade after you register. However, you can list these products only in one category. You will need to delete the original listings for all the products that you would like to re-list in Amazon Handmade. When you re-list in Amazon Handmade, use a new seller SKU, you cannot re-use SKUs. This means that you will not be able to save the sales history and customer reviews associated with those products. To learn more about how to delete listings, seeStop selling a product.
Amazon Handmade is a store with handcrafted products, made by Artisans. Amazon uses an application process to add new Artisans to the Handmade category to ensure customers are able to buy with confidence.
Below, you will find a list of eligibility and product requirements that all Artisans must meet in order to sell products in the Handmade category. We’ve also included some additional information on other Amazon policies and how we are working to protect the integrity of the Handmade category.
The following types of Artisans and groups of Artisans may apply to sell on Amazon Handmade:
If you’re part of a collaborative group, you will need to provide us with a link to any online documentation providing us with details regarding your organization.
If you’re part of a group, and it’s not listed above, we will evaluate your application on a case- by-case basis.
All products listed as Handmade must adhere to Amazon selling policies, as well as the following Amazon Handmade guidelines:
We also reserve the right to update our Handmade Guidelines.
In addition to the Amazon Handmade guidelines, you are required to comply with all Amazon selling policies and agreements.
Amazon does not allow listings that violate the intellectual property rights of brands or other rights owners. See below and in the Amazon Intellectual Property Policy for more information.
We recommend registering with Amazon Brand Registry.
Amazon Brand Registry helps Artisans protect registered trademarks on Amazon and creates an accurate and trusted experience for customers. Currently, brands must have a registered trademark to be eligible for enrollment in this program.
Amazon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove a product from any Amazon Handmade category. We will notify the impacted Artisan regarding the removal and the impacted Artisan will have the option to appeal this decision. Notifications will be sent to the Artisan through Seller Central and will include details on what is needed by Amazon to conduct an audit, as well as the timeframe in which the Artisan will need to provide Amazon with this information.
All listings must adhere to our Handmade listing guide, including but not limited to our Title, Image, and Product Description Standards. See our listing guide about when and how to use customizations for your products.
All listings must also comply with Amazon's listing policies. To learn more, refer to Category, Product and Content Restrictions.
