Amazon Handmade is a joke
I have found that Amazon handmade is subpar. The items do not show up on the regular Amazon site as they said it would. Almost no categories exist so you are unable to place your item in the correct category. Seller support is appalling to say the very least. I planned on selling here but it just isn't worth it. So many policies that it is impossible to know them all. They take items down and never inform you of what the problem might be. The pricing structure is wildly unacceptable. 15% is a pretty steep price to pay for this ridiculous platform. I can work around the 15% in some cases and make a minuscule profit but they have taken it even farther to be certain they get all the profit by charging the 15% against the price plus the shipping cost. That is completely unacceptable. Shipping makes zero return for the seller so there is no profit to be made on it. Amazon knows this! They want you to do the work and sell your products so they can make even more profit and leave you broke. I will be leaving this greedy mess and selling another way that allows me to price my item competitively and pay a fair % to sell the items. I wouldn't bother with Handmade it really isn't worth the effort. Good luck all.

I am sorry you are frustrated with trying to sell here. It is kind of hard to figure things out at first. What do you make? Perhaps someone on the handmade forums could help if you have questions about which category to choose or how to price your items so that you make some profit.
Items do show up in the Handmade section but it might take 24 hours after you list something. It is not immediate. It also depends on what you are listing. If you are selling something that is popular and many other sellers are selling the same item, your item may be buried in the sea of competition. How are your titles? Do you use good search words to help people find your items?
What kind of items are being taken down by Amazon? Are you using any licensed characters or sports teams in your materials?
I would not give up on Amazon Handmade. No matter which online site you choose to sell on you will have fees and rules to follow. One of the advantages to selling here is that you have a large amount of potential buyers compared to other sites. Just try to give it time and instead of Seller support, ask your questions here.
