I am an injured seller and cannot contact amazon to inform them. They suspended my account!

I suffered a bad leg injury in February 2024 just before moving out of state. I moved my items and inventory to new location but I personally could not relocate due to injury. So I had no access to my inventory. I put myself on "vacation" status until I could regain access to my inventory (relocate to my new home). I could not find anyway to inform Amazon of my problem. They suspended my account yesterday due to inactivity despite the fact that I regularly logged in to my seller account. So now I've had to send them pictures of my ID and credit card statements etc. to prove I'm me. When all I needed was to be able to tell someone I'm injured and temporarily unable to sell. It's so irritating! Why do we have to provide our phone number if amazon won't ever use it? A simple phone call would have alleviated everything. Or if I could call someone rather than having to spend a bunch of time and effort to submit more documentation.

Putting your account on Vacation IS letting Amazon know that you can't sell right now.

It's been standard for several years now that a prolonged Vacation (regardless of whether or not you log on) requires re-verification of ID. This is to protect the account holder from fraud. Even had you been able to speak to someone to provide specifics, it would not matter; they would still want to protect your account by requiring ID re-verification.

And welcome back; hope the healing and the move have been successful!

I understand that due to a leg injury you put yourself in vacation mode until you recovered. You noticed that your account was deactivated due to inactivity and you have concerns about the re-verification process.

I want to start off by saying I hope you are feeling better. Typically, after the re-verification documents have been submitted and accepted, it can take up to 72 hours for the account to be reactivated. Can you share if your account is back to active as of yet?

@Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw makes an excellent point here. We require re-verification for your account protection. It is a standard process if your account has gone inactive for any reason.

I look forward to learning more. Once you have reviewed the information and questions above, please feel free to update this thread. The Forums community and I are here to support you.
