LTL Shipment Picked Up by Amazon Carrier Stuck in 'Transit' for 2 Weeks

Hello everyone, I wanted to share that five of my LTL shipments were picked up by 'Amazon Freight LTL' two weeks ago, but there have been no updates since the last status of 'Cargo picked up.' Is this delay normal? Can anyone share their experience with similar situations?

I've reached out to Amazon Seller Support, but they've only provided a generic response stating they have no additional information. Thank you for any insights you can offer.

All of our shipments have been assigned to Amazon Freight since November 2023. I can say that the tracking is much better, and the receiving process is much faster than that of Amazon's partnered carrier. They also give you an estimated pickup time frame, which helps us a lot. We are located on the East Coast, and our shipments are mostly assigned to East Coast FCs. None of our shipments have been delivered more than 5 days, mostly within 1-2 days via Amazon Freight. Long story short, I would try to find the right contact and start following up on those shipments. Based on our experience, that is not normal. Good luck!

This is totally normal - I would say that even 30 or 40 days is normal.

On the upside, items that are checked in via LTL use to take less time to become available for sale (i.e. they may not enter a never-ending 'reserved' state)

In other words, don't worry too much about this 🤙

We're having same problem. It was in "transit" for 17 days and the fulfillment center was only about 45 minutes from our facility.

Amazon Partnered Carriers are never on time, they don't show up or they reschedule pick up days/times now their delivery times are taking longer than needed.

Not to mention, the FBA fulfillment centers are taking 2-3 months to "receive" shipments/units.

But the sellers don't have any control over these issues but we are the ones who are paying for it because we run out of inventory or low inventory which now they're charging fees for.

Amazon - you need to fix the issues on your end and stop blaming the sellers and taking their money for stupid fees for things that are out of sellers control!!!

Shame, Shame, Shame on you Amazon to keep hurting your sellers financially and don't even have the support system the sellers need to resolve issues because nobody at Seller Support even reads and understands the issue so they just reply with a scripted response.

Best of Luck to all you honest and hardworking sellers!

Yep, as others have stated, this is "NORMAL". Sometimes a shipment arrives and is credited in 7 days, other times it takes up to a MONTH. All depends on how backed up they are at the loading dock at that particular warehouse.

UNFORTUNATELY, THANKS TO THE NEW LOW INVENTORY FEE, be PREPARED TO PAY LOW INVENTORY FEES FOR ALL ITEMS that are stuck in transit. According to the new FEE RULES, if you have units in transit, they DON"T count toward your total inventory for fee purposes, until they are received and uploaded. This means if you have 12 units in stock of a product, and 50 on the way, and you sold MORE than 12 units last month, they will charge you a LOW INVENTORY FEE on EVERY SINGLE UNIT YOU SELL, until that truckload is received. It's part of being more "EFFICIENT". If Amazon has a logistics backup unloading your inventory, YOU are charged low inv fee for THEIR logistics... CANT WAIT. Somebody PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. And I HOPE I'm wrong, for all our wallets' sakes.
