Amazon Refunded buyer without a Return

Need help from Amazon Moderator. Please take a look at this AtoZ claim for order 112-2164002-3613034. I should be refunded since I did not receive the return.

Buyer submitted a return request and Amazon provided a return label. After a week of waiting for package to arrive, buyer submitted AtoZ claim since they did not receive refund. I checked the tracking number that Amazon provided and there was no update. The package was never submitted to carrier.

Amazon sent me this note on the same day the AtoZ claim was opened. "Hello, We informed the customer that they may return the items and we gave them your return address. We have temporarily withdrawn the claim on order 112-2164002-3613034. However, if you do not issue a refund when the return is received, the customer may reopen the claim."

Two days later Amazon granted full amount to buyer and took the full amount from my account. I tried to appeal, explaining that buyer never sent in the package but they stand with their decision.

Moderator, please help. I can't even contact UPS. They never received this package from buyer.

Hello @Seller_DB86NTfg0bMta - thanks for posting around this situation. As I review the Order ID in question, it appears the original shipment was returned to sender via the original tracking ID, which shows as a successful delivery.

As this would mean the customer never received the item and it was delivered back to the original sender as confirmed by the carrier, a refund to the customer would be appropriate. Please take a moment to review the original tracking details for the order and let me know if you have any questions.
