Don't have products and inventory in the UK, do I need to register for a tax ID number as well?
I used to sell products and register VAT numbers in the UK, but then I removed all the products and did not operate anymore, and only planned to operate in other countries, and I have cancelled my previous tax number. But Amazon sent an email saying
A valid UK VAT registration number will need to be provided, or an inconsistency in the name associated with your VAT registration number will need to be corrected.
Do I have to register a new VAT number in this case?
