Hermes (Evri)

Hi,

We usually use DHL for MFN fulfilled orders but today decided to give Amazon Shipping a try and selected Hermes.

Apparently they are now Evri so printed the labels and stuck them to the parcels ready for collection. Our office address was shown so hopefully someone today will turn up?

Do Evri normally turn up in just a car (not a van like DHL) and do they have a contact number so we can check they are definately picking up?

Also it would be good to have contact with the courier as we are located on a farm and can be hard to find. Need to get these collected today otherwise the dreaded VTR springs into action :)

Anyone help, give advice, experience of Evri as a courier?

Thank you!

my understanding was that you still needed an account with Evri to arrange collection - just buying Evri alabels via Amazon Buy Shipping itself won't in any way trigger a collection.

you need to take them to a Hermes pick up point to drop off.

This is my understanding of this process. I have learnt from bitter experience. I now use Evri drop off so I know that this is currently the case.

For prime orders there is only 1 'type' of Evri service offered that is a next day label. For non-prime Evri labels are offered next day and standard.

Next day labels are for a collection only service. You need to have set up a collection with Evri. They dont just show up. Minium requirment is 100 parcels per week for that collection service. Note that the drop off shops can not accept next day labels.

Standard labels are for a drop off service only.

All this is assuming that your shipping settings are correct and that you are onboaded which it sounds like you are.

This information is up to date as of 15th August

Hope it helps

You have to drop the parcel off at a Hermes locker or parcel shop. Make sure you had created an account with Evri before you purchased the label in Buy Shipping. There is a message stating you need to do this.

As a former Evri driver, yes the answers above are correct. You have to specifically arrange a collection. What vehicle they turn up in depends on the driver, personal vehicles. Technically Evri drivers are self employed and get a set route and manifest to check through in the morning. Some places (Shein/Temu kind of thing) offer a free Evri return so we had those as 'one off' collections. One offs like that have to be booked online though im told its a fiddly process if you already have the label and arent buying it through Evri or have account set up. Your driver most likely will always do your route and if youre lucky will let you have their phone number. I did for a lady who had quite a lot of 'return collectons' but couldnt manage to book online. Technically we could scan returns on the doorstep but it resets the entire days route (as its not on the manifest) and the app only lets you reset the route once so unless you have a helpful driver theyll prob refuse it. She still txts me about parcels every so often LOL Evri as a courier.... if you (and your customer) have a good route driver youre fine, but they have a high staff turnover......
