When I set up my Amazon seller account around September 2022, I stupidly selected Limited Company as my legal entity type when I am a sole trader. This went unnoticed by Amazon even after submitting proof of business registration for my account verification. I believe it may be because I am based in Republic of Ireland and our business registration system/certificates are different to UK ones. However, as part of a KYC verification, Amazon have asked me to provide a statement of Capital/ Annual return/ share register. All of which are impossible to obtain as a sole trader. I tried to submit my certificate of registration but it got rejected. I know there are some threads on here about changing legal entity type from individual-sole trader or sole trader to limited company but is there a way to change from limited company to sole trader? Has anyone done this before? I'm afraid to reach out to seller support in case they deactivate my account because of my incorrect legal entity type. I know that might be a necessary part of getting this fixed but I have just heard so many horror stories of Amazon suspending accounts for months. I'm sure everyone here can appreciate how much work goes into starting and running an amazon business so I would hate to lose it all! Any help would be hugely appreciated.
