Opening a Business Amazon Account Under an LLC

Hi everyone,

I currently have an Amazon account registered under my personal information and I’m interested in opening a new business Amazon account for my LLC. Is it possible to have both accounts, and if so, what’s the best way to go about it?

I’ve heard on YouTube that it’s important to inform Amazon about both your personal and business accounts. Could someone guide me on how to notify Amazon about this situation before opening the new business account?

Just to add, both my personal and business Amazon accounts will be under the same address.

You do not need to "inform" Amazon of anything, they will know.

Two accounts may NEVER

sell the same type products

interact in ANY way with each other

Interact in ANY way with each other's competitors.

Need separate banking account and e-mail addresses (at least)

Hello there, my name is CR. You have received some great guidance above by @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EIand I would recommend if you have additional specific questions to reach out to Seller Support and very carefully outline your situation and what you are hoping to accomplish so that they can provide you the best guidance.

As noted above and on this page, you may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.

Examples of a legitimate business justification include:

  • You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
  • You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
  • You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts
