what to do? USPS took my ups boxes
so usps took my ups boxes off the porch almost a week ago and I don’t know if they will come back to me or get forwarded…higher value items so I don’t know if I should suck it up and resend but then customer may receive double items…this is why they should be scanning items ha
Any tips on what is best option? Wait it out and hope they get them? It was 4 orders …but higher value $300 each

Have you not reached out to your local post office that picked them up? That should have been your first step to get this straightened out. Hard to know what to do without communicating with them.

apparently it happens often where fedex/ups/usps will get each others boxes. Supposidly when they get a bunch they just dump them off. Ups pretty much delivers daily to the usps location in my area, id guess they would treat it as any other business and drop packages and pick up any outgoing

I was told by my mail carrier that she can take UPS packages. UPS drops off daily and they take any packages that USPS picks up for them. At least at my local post office that is the case. YMMV

Did u check the tracking and see where they are?

The same thing happened to me. When I spoke with USPS, they said that they are forwarding the packages and there is no need to worry, as this happens often. you can check the tracking number to see if the packages are moving.

Ours generally never show back up.

Somewhere along the line they will be handed over to UPS. Keep an eye on the tracking. They will eventually be scanned by UPS once they receive them. I've accidentally dropped off UPS packages at USPS a few times in the past. They do always make it to their destination, however sometimes it does take a while longer. I understand that it can be a real nail biter, though, waiting for them to show up in the UPS system, especially with the more expensive items, because insurance will not cover until there is confirmation that UPS has the package.

USPS has taken my packages multiple times, but it's been my fault. I mixed units in the same box a few times *face palm.*
For me, I had to go to the post office that services my home, and ask about the packages. The people who work at the front counter at my post office are honestly a-holes. They tend to be lazy and do not over-exert themselves in any way or try to be the least bit helpful. The first time, this happened there happened to be ONE woman out of four people working the counter who knew packages like this get placed to the side. After I described them to her, she was able to retrieve them.
The second time this happened, the person at the counter refused to look and claimed they didn't have them. LUCKILY an act of god happened and the woman iIworked with before got off her break and appeared. She once again found my packages that everyone else couldn't be bothered to help locate. I am so thankful for this woman!
I know this was all my fault, but we all make mistakes and it's crazy to me how unhelpful people can be.
Anyways, in summary, go to your post office. Maybe make a list of the packages (sizes, weights, if they were boxed, in envelopes, had any distinctive stickers, etc.) that you are missing. Write down the return address and outgoing address if you can. You can hand this to the employee to match the packages when they disappear to look for them. If the people at the front are useless, ask for a manager.
Also, my USPS said they do not give the packages over to UPS. They just have them sit on a shelf and collect dust. Thanks USPS!

Are you sure it was the post office and not porch pirates?
