Product Descriptions Missing and Unable to Update

Product descriptions have disappeared from our listings, and we are unable to restore them. Please advise us on what to do.

I am the brand owner, and these are our listings that we created ourselves. This issue started over a month ago. We have tried adding the product descriptions manually or via PartialUpdate and Full Update by uploading a file, but none of these attempts have resolved the problem.

We contacted support and were advised to add the description to the parent ASIN so that it would apply to the child ASINs, but this also did not work.

Currently, some listings are showing outdated descriptions that we are unable to update.

Please assist me in changing the product description. @Блейк_Амазон

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Do you have any advice on how to resolve it?

I am literally going through this issues myself right now. It's unfortunate because my listing was pulled down on Prime day :(

I've been trying to figure it out all night and try various methods on how to remove the suppression but nothing is working so far. I've opened a ticket and like you, I was told to upload a file. I didn't want to do this because I didn't initially setup the listing that way, and with a file I did not want to introduce new problems.

We are paying a premium MONTHLY fees and OTHER fees for poor "service"?! Literally we are just giving our money to amazon on all levels of the process here. Its beginning to feel unfair.

No one seems motivated to help, 1st person I spoke to was totally off from the issue. It's a database issue that needs to be addressed on their side.

I wanted to stop by and check in on your discussion. I see that your two latest cases are related to product description:

  • CASE ID ending in 7731 related to ASIN ending in PT4G is about an outdated product description that you were having trouble updating (despite trying to upload file feeds)
  • CASE ID ending in 4281 related to ASIN ending in NBDR is about your product description disappearing from the detail page.

Which case did you by chance require assistance with so I can go ahead and see if we can escalate them to one of our internal partner teams for review? Look forward to hearing back from you soon.

get used to it. thousands of items have had bots remove product descriptions and browse nodes with no way to fix and no help from support.

Talk to Seller Support first, but looks like you need to do a reset-delete which involves deleting your SKU for 24 hours and then re-listing. (Deleting and re-listing the EXACT SKU does not affect your FBA inventory, customer reviews, etc.) Also before you do this, ask Seller Support if they must do anything in the backend so you're successful in this process.

Delete with the file loader only. Also important, only fill out your SKU and the "Delete" command in the file loader. Nothing else or else this will not work.

When you relist, put in the previous named Brand name, product ID (i.e. UPC code), product ID type (I.e., UPC), product category. If it goes live, fill in everything like you usually did.

Talk to Seller Support first, but looks like you need to do a reset-delete which involves deleting your SKU for 24 hours and then re-listing.
