Excited to hear about this launch…not!
So customers can just say I do not require this and we have to refund…just like that!
This will set the wrong precedent I fear. Who will pay for anything anymore when you can get it for free!
Amazon say…We hope this feature will greatly enhance the customer experience for your orders and reduce your cost of doing business at the same time. ,
A free for all I think!
It is an opt-in service so you don’t have to give free returnless refunds but I did just chuckle at Amazon’s excitement over this.
Depending on the value of an item, if it is reported as faulty then it is not economical to pay for it to be returned but I think I would rather look at these on a case-by-case basis.
Er… exactly how is giving away your stock for free (plus p&p and non refundable Amazon fees) going to reduce the cost of doing business?
I know Amazon can be quite dim at times but that takes the biscuit.
If you have a low value item then it can make a lot of sense to refund rather than have the item sent back just to bin it if the item is broken, or for example the customer sends you a photo of the damaged part, as there are hundredS of thousands of low cost items with free postage available on this site just like ebay, and ebay have had the option to refund rather than return for years now, and it works there ?
