Error 8040 turning in to nightmare and no help from seller support PLEASE someone help
We create listing for the brand after error5461 and 8040 with variation them and send them to FBA. I've been doing this since 2013 on amazon.
After units received at FBA, amazon randomly break the relationship and turns ASINs in to search suppressed. - There is literly NO Change or nothing in these ASINs.
And thn the nightmare begins -
When try to recreate the variation it start giving me same error 5461 and after clearing that one more time, it gives me erro8040 and seller support disapprove the variation which was on the first hand created after approval.
There is literly no help and each answer from seller support makes me feel like crap.
It seems there are some glitches in amazon inventory system and without any concern small seller like me is punished.

I have the same issue as this. With ASIN's randomly breaking away from the parent.
It seems to stem from not being authorised to create ASIN's for that brand. Although I have been approved numerous times for these brands.
It is a major headache as it can take days with Seller Support to get permission to list the brands again. Sometimes you just give up as they are totally useless.
Today I have checked and I have around 10 Parent ASIN's which have lost their children across 2 different brands.
If it was an easy fix I wouldn't mind but I know it will be endless emails backwards and forwards with Seller Support to fix these issues.

On the subject of Disney I would just like an answer as to whether all sellers are restricted from creating ASIN's for Disney and whether this is permanent or temporary?

Just sent them all the details asked and please note as mentioned previously the executive team is already working on the case but unfortunately they seems to have no idea on whats asked and sending me regular updates and providing me solution for the ASINs which were not even raised by me originally.
Please see their case ID- 9923628212 and same was created on 26 June and as mentioned this case seems to have lost completely.
I really wish some team who really has answer on this takes ownership of the case and contact me in case anything is not clear.

I dont think seller's are restricted from creating DISNEY brands but the issue is with variation and old listings.
Oddly, many of my other variation listinf under the brand DISNEY seems fine - or should i say fine at the moment.
I've been facing same or similar issue along with suspected IP violation each year in jun-july and each time when amazon updates their inventory and make changes in the manage inventory feature - the issue starts.
Sometime I feel for seller support - they are as clueless as we but take brunt from seller's frustration.
Somehow few of the old listings ecomes incompetible with theire new updates and starts giving trouble.

I am still trying to get permission to create the missing parent ASIN's for Disney. I am no longer being told that they are not accepting new applications but I am being taken around in circles.
I am being told to list the item as Generic, list against the existing ASIN and being told that my pictures don't bear any relationship to Disney.
My pictures are fine they have Disney on the label sewn into the neck. They are Mickey Mouse pyjamas...what other brand should I list them against?
It really seems hard to describe my issue to them. It is like they don't understand what I am trying to do.
All I want to do is create the missing parent ASIN and nothing else.

I have tried to apply for Disney products again.
I was definitely told that they were not accepting new applications. Maybe this was a mistake.
