What's going on with Contact Buyer?
A customer left a negative feedback stating something to this effect: "Please help my order is stuck in transit! Can you please ask the seller to contact the post office."
Amazon immediately struck the feedback through because we shipped on time and used Buy Shipping. However, I would still like to contact the customer to let them know that their item is on its way and will be delivered. When I click contact buyer, my only option is a canned response telling them we will provide a refund. What is going on here? Amazon does not want us to provide customer service anymore? We used to have access to their encrypted email address, but I am no longer seeing that option.
Furthermore, it seems Amazon is making exceedingly difficult for buyers to contact sellers, which is probably what led the customer to leaved the feedback instead of contacting us.

Hi @Seller_149FN9OrPNrp7
I am unaware of any changes we have made relative to the ability of sellers to contact buyers through buyer/seller messaging. If you will provide me with an Order number, I will do additional investigation.

Had the same problem with not being able to contact buyers for incorrect addresses. This needs to be changed so that both buyer and seller can communicate regarding purchases and shipping.

This is my own though (not proven or backed by sources)... Maybe Amazon is moving towards a pure CSBA (customer service by Amazon) model, and they are testing this on certain sellers by eliminating the ability to contact.
Wow would that be bad...

Instead of being concerned - click no response necessary. They already left negative feedback and you are literally one of the few that had an MFN order feedback struck through - count your blessings and move on
