Accidentally signed up on amazon.com, instead the European market - how can I register on European Market

I accidently registered at sellercentral.amazon.com. I wanted to register for Amazon sellercentral Europe. I got verified for the States, how can I register for the European market, as my company is located in Europe and I want to sell my product in Europe? I opened a case. They said I should close the marketplace for the states and open a new one. Is this the process? I´m afraid to get banned from amazon and cannot register my company in Europe again.

Connor from Amazon here, thanks for reaching out.
You can expand your account over to the European marketplace, and place the US marketplace on vacation mode. This way you can still operate, but you won't have to worry about the US Marketplace (only if you want to sell there in the future).
I do advise against closing your account and creating a new one as it can cause issues since you already registered with your e-mail and phone numbers.
