Seller Fulfilled Prime on time delivery warning

We just had an order of 48 units delivered late by a day by Fedex. Our on time delivery rate dropped to 80% and Amazon immediately sent us a warning letter. Fedex and UPS will randomly delay the overnight shipping by a day. Usually it is not a big deal to our performance matrix but once things like this happen, it will put us under a bad situation. Is there any pratical suggestions how to avoid this?

Just got same letter last night it is total b/ once the package leaves our hands it out of our control .. there is nothing you can do or say for this. amazon just does not care they will tell you to form a better relationship with your carrier LOL as if ..the truth is we are amazons customer we buy our shipping from them not ups or fedex. they need to have a otd protection for sfp ..if yoiu ship on time and buy the shipping they recommend it should be protected just like the standard orders .. just makes sense right ?? but i think they have it like this so they can get rid of the sfp sellers as they don't really want us they want everything fba so they can rake in all the fees and control your business... and just like all the rest of the sfp discussions this will get buried too.......good luck

Same here. I believe just about everyone received such notification recently, despite the fact that SFP Performance Metrics Page has a message at the top that says:

"We are closely monitoring the winter storms and wildfires that are impacting our nation and are applying promise extensions to protect the customer experience. Sellers will not be held accountable for the affected areas. For information on our policy, please visit: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/external/G202072550"

We should not be held accountable, but yet we all received this SFP performance warning. I asked @KJ_Amazon in another post how to deal with this, but I'm yet to hear his instructions. I really don't want to deal with the stupid SFP eligibility suspension and going back and forth with the SFP Performance Team for weeks trying to get re-instated. Logically thinking, this bad weather /LA fires should kick all sellers out of the SFP program, unless Amazon overrides the system before this action takes place.

If you do not have AHT on then you are responsible for any late deliveries as of last august even though this is completely out of your control.

Unless you are part of a category then you must ask for exception. We are part of handmade and were eventually granted an exemption, you will have to submit all parent skus each time you make a product for the exemption to take effect. Even then i am still working as some child skus did not take to the override and i have been working on this with amazon for a few weeks.

I am hoping this will pass and we will once again gain control over when products are to be shipping/handling time and we are no longer responsible for carrier issue that is completely out of our control.

Thank you for your feedback about the SFP program. Like all forums threads on this topic, it is shared with and reviewed by our partner team.

Please note that sellers are not required to maintain a 100% on-time delivery rate to remain in the Seller Fulfilled Prime program. The 93.5% on-time delivery rate requirement allows for occasional misses and one-off issues. In addition, SFP program access is not revoked the first time a seller misses the requirements. Two warnings are given for the full program and one during the trial, and eligibility is reset with four consecutive weeks meeting the requirements.
