Order shipped same day, received following day. Customer files A-Z and gets full refund

This is getting absolutely rediculous. I received a $600 order and shipped it the same day. The customer received it the following day. They open a A-Z claim saying that it arrived too late. Amazon IMMEDIATELY refunded the customer the full amount and counted it against my ODR.

WHAT THE HECK AMAZON? In what world is this the correct decision??? Now I'm out $600 unless by some miracle of God they actually read my appeal which they never ever do.

I have looked into the order details and I understand that your order was delivered in full before the Delivery date. However, the claim is counted against since the return request was not authorized or responded within 48 hours.

This part of our A-Z policies and falls in outcomes where the claim can be granted automatically:

The claim is automatically granted: Amazon will automatically grant the claim and debit the claim amount from your account in the following circumstances:

You did not authorize or respond to the customer's product-related issue within 48 hours via the customer's return request.

Is there any particular reason why there was a delay in reviewing this return request?
