TRYING TO CLOSE AN ACCOUNT

I have been trying to close an account and have been to back and forth with multiple chat agents who have been useless.

The issue is I opened this account just to see the platform with no intention of actually activating it. When I go to close my account it says I cannot close my account because the account is de-activated. It says that I need to activate my account by providing utility bill, bank information and credit card information.

THE PROBLEM IS I DO NOT WANT TO ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT, THE ACCOUNT HAS NO ACCTIVITY AND I JUST WANT TO DELETE IT.

Why should I provide Amazon with my personal data just to close an account that has no activity in the first place?

Someone please help as Amazon support has just been robots providing canned responses and sending the same close account link. I just want to close the unused account without passing my personal data to enable the account. I never wanted the account activated in the first place!

PLEASE HELP!

Closing an account is something the seller does for themself -- it's not something to ask Amazon to do.

However, you cannot close an account that it not in good standing.

If you are not going to be willing or able to activate the account downgrade if you can. And just walk away.

You will have to resolve your account outstanding issue should you wish to close it permanently.

Why do you want to close your account? Do you want to open another one?

-If it is deactivated you can't close it

-I recommend you not to close anything and leave it dormant maybe you will consider it later to start selling. YOu have only 1 account option with Amazon
