Now They're Charging TRIPLE the Shipping Rate
Take a look at what you are being charged for shipping on returns now. I sell many small items, for which shipping costs $4. On recent returns I am being charged $12 and more. This is in addition to the charge for the buyers' use of oversized packaging.
It is bad enough that 95% + of the returns for "defect" or "inaccurate description" have nothing wrong with them.
Between the never ending charges, the corrupted listings, the lying and stealing from so many buyers, the near impossibility of creating new listings, the horrible customer service, and the suppressed listings that they won't let you fix, I have so little hope left for this platform.

The weight and dimensions that Amazon uses to create the return shipping label is the package weight and dimensions that are on the listing, so make sure to double-check that is correct.

This is nothing but a cash grab from Amazon. Not only has the shipping rate tripled, but they are charging for it for discretionary returns where the customer states "bought by mistake".

Return shipping we were charged $12.01
Shipping to the customer through Amazon shipping cost us $5.52
Return shipping we were charged $12.01
Shipping to the customer through Amazon shipping cost us $4.20
Return shipping we were charged $12.01

Return shipping we were charged $12.01
Shipping 2 items to the customer through Amazon shipping cost us $8.52
The customer returned 1 of 2 items and we were charged $12.53 for the return label
