How to delete definitely a phone number
Hello, good morning everyone. I'm having an issue with a phone number in my Amazon account and I would like to completely remove it, unlink it. Does anyone know how to do it? I've already removed it in every way I know, but sometimes when I'm filling out information, Amazon still gives me the option to select it, and that's what I don't want, as it means they're still associating it with my account... If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate it.

You are required to have a phone number listed. You can change it but as far as I know you can't remove it otherwise.

I see that you would like to permanently delete a phone number from your account and you have questions about how to do this.
Typically, you have 4 places to supply a phone number in your account:
-business address and phone number (account info>business information)
-display name (account info>business information)
-emergency notifications (notification preferences>notification options)
-merchant default contact (notification preferences>contacts)
Have you visited the options above to remove or edit the phone number?
Can you explain what you mean by this? What information are you filling out when the number pops up as a selection?
