I'm the manufacturer and my product brand was changed and I can't change it back
I manufacture all the products I sell on Amazon and have been selling the same products here for over 10 years.
I recently noticed about half my listings (all variations of the same product) had the brand changed to unrelated brand names (Fochai, DIKAYI and Iaerlllt).
So far Amazon is refusing to change the name back to the brand name I had since I created the listings, how where others able to change my brand name after 10 years yet Amazon refuses to change it back to the brand that had been there for 10 years?
I never registered as a company and am therefor not in the brand registry.
What are my options to get out of this mess and can I protect my listings that haven't yet been fraudulently modified?
Thank you

@Michelle_Amazon I saw you were able to resolve this issue for another seller, can you please assist me with this?
Thank you

I dont mean to hijack your thread, but we ran into the same problem and we are brand registered!
We have been going in circles with Seller Support and BR support for close to 3 months now. We have to wait for 7-14 days for a reply that says upload a feed and change the brand back or some other useless canned response.
Perhaps @Michelle_Amazoncan help us as well! We are desperate at this point of time.

If Amazon want to solve this problem, they can, but they won't because we are too small to be cared.
If seller support want to help, they can by simply looking into the owner history for the listings, but they don't want to help since easy as pasting a default template is going to give them a paycheck.

Hey! So I just went through this. On top of your issue, I also wasn't able to edit anything about my listings, whether it was new photos, description, or any other details. It was like after I CREATED the listing, that was it! I'm just a 3rd party seller now. Unfortunately, the only solution for this was to trademark the brand. Mind you, I've gone 4 years without having to trademark anything. Selling on 8 different platforms without issue. We are in no real danger of IP infringement. As a handmade seller, we don't have an issue with ppl hijacking our listings or stealing the buy box. Everything we sell is made by US! But still, we weren't able to manage our own listings via Seller Central which was a HUGE problem.
This past April, I finally said screw it and shelled out the $250 (I think) to apply for the trademark. I went directly through the USPTO website. The online TEAS system was pretty straightforward but there are plenty of YouTube videos to follow along with to avoid the added cost of hiring a lawyer. The actual approval takes years to process, but within about 8 hours of applying and submitting the application number to Amazon, I was approved for Brand Registry. The very next day I had full control over my listings plus a bunch of other perks.
I may go back and hire a lawyer to wrap things up, but the application process is about 1-2 years anyway. Just applying online solved my immediate issue. I know it sucks. I'm learning there are some things on this platform that you just GOTTA do the way Amazon wants or risk beating your head against the Seller Support wall indefinitely. This is just one of those things.

Hi @Seller_R8ki3KTqShEFj,
My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I am happy to take a look at what is going on and help or escalate wherever I can.
Do you have a case ID with seller support that lists all the ASINs you have experienced this brand name change with? If so, please provide that here and I will review.
Also, I want to call out @Seller_978BRPuJCfrrS's response for how they enrolled in brand Registry in order to protect their brand. Also, you do not have to be a registered company to enroll in Brand Registry, but you do need a trademark that is filed in 1 of 20 countries, the EUIPO or WIPO. You can find more on the eligibility requirements for Brand Registry in the Review eligibility requirements section of the Amazon brand services website.
Looking forward to assisting!
Best, Dougal

How can another seller sell the product you manufacture if only you have it? What are they selling?
Seller_7cuOxUam0oN6W
This probably isn't much help, but I have seen a lot of the listings I sell on change brands frequently, and I'm pretty sure it is not hijacking. I believe Amazon's system is making these changes. They are often in align with the product brand. The Brand itself is not registered, but they keep switching to different Brands that appear similar in name. And, there is nothing suspicious about those other brands. I believe Amazon's AI is trying to correct the Brand.
How you get it fix, I don't know, but I wish you luck.

Have your attorney send a letter to Amazon Legal demanding action withing 72-hours (noting that failure to comply will make the letter a formal demand for arbitration and damages.

We have the exact same issue and even after six months we are unable to fix this.
