Customer claims "not received" first, then when proved delivered claims item defective (empty)
Customer claims "not received" first, but when proven delivery, customer 1 minute later wants to return a product that "has been emptied" ie defective.
This is a clear case of attempting to defraud us (and Amazon)
What is your normal way of dealing with these? Reporting to Amazon doesn't seem to lead into anything? Action Fraud by the Police?

Obviously (presumably !) knows how to play the system !! Haven't a clue how you would challenge this, as presumably a food product. How could it have been emptied if there was no evidence of the parcel being tampered with ?!!
Maybe you just need to respond by saying that it is absolutely impossible for it to have arrived empty. Amazon will do nothing, except refund the customer.
