Sellers adding their trading name to listing title

Hi all, after a bit of advice. There are a few items I got in stock that sellers seem to have added their trading name to the title of the products, so when you go to list on them, you receive an intelectual property complaint. I take it people do this to stop other people listing on the listings.

Usually I know the procedure would be to upload an invoice showing proof of you buying the product from the manufacturer however that never seems to work for me as I buy most of my products from a clearance warehouse.

Is there anything stopping me from registering a brand and then doing this? Not sure how else I can get them listed.

Hope that makes sense - here is an example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09LZ9NR6S this product is owned by PMS International not VFM

Thanks

The issue is rife across the catalogue.

Even on bigger brands like Cadbury.

In theory - that product should be listed as Brand: Fun House Gaming

I take it the product is not barcoded? If it is, you should look up the barcode and list on that listing. As you have found, you cannot list on these listings that other sellers have created where the brand is their own seller name, and I wouldn't touch the listing with the usual length barge pole.

So, if it is barcoded - but the listing you linked to is set to that barcode - then you can report the listing to amazon, showing the GS1 certification or link for that barcode. Whether amazon will do anything is debatable.

You could Register your own brand, setup your own GS1 barcodes, but to register, you'd need a product with your brand name on, and this one wouldn't have it on. In addition, there would always be the risk that at some point, amazon get wise to all of this.

This is the manufacturer who are selling their own brands.

They have a huge range of brands PMS International.

When we list, amazon populates our title with our brand name at the front now, i am presuming this happens in certain categories.

You can report them all you want, but Amazon never take action.

I've reported many times
