Error 8040 turning in to nightmare and no help from seller support PLEASE someone help
We create listing for the brand after error5461 and 8040 with variation them and send them to FBA. I've been doing this since 2013 on amazon.
After units received at FBA, amazon randomly break the relationship and turns ASINs in to search suppressed. - There is literly NO Change or nothing in these ASINs.
And thn the nightmare begins -
When try to recreate the variation it start giving me same error 5461 and after clearing that one more time, it gives me erro8040 and seller support disapprove the variation which was on the first hand created after approval.
There is literly no help and each answer from seller support makes me feel like crap.
It seems there are some glitches in amazon inventory system and without any concern small seller like me is punished.

I have the same issue as this. With ASIN's randomly breaking away from the parent.
It seems to stem from not being authorised to create ASIN's for that brand. Although I have been approved numerous times for these brands.
It is a major headache as it can take days with Seller Support to get permission to list the brands again. Sometimes you just give up as they are totally useless.
Today I have checked and I have around 10 Parent ASIN's which have lost their children across 2 different brands.
If it was an easy fix I wouldn't mind but I know it will be endless emails backwards and forwards with Seller Support to fix these issues.

I am stuck with this as Seller Support say I can't have permission to create ASIN's for Disney.
They are saying that they are not accepting any applications. Is this true?
I have escalated to the Managing Director email but had no response.
I have a few Disney ASIN's that have no parents now and I can't recreate the parents even though I created them in the first place.
I understand if there is a restriction on Disney ASIN's but I just want to fix variation listings that are broken. I created these listings when I have been allowed permission in the past and I have invested money in stock for these listings and they just don't sell as stand alone listings as customers can not easily determine the size they want.
All stock is official licensed Disney products.

Unfortunately the issue is not only exists but spreading to other ASIN and daily i see few ASINs added to search suppressed status with broken relationship.
I am only worried about FBA ASINs as those ASINS are not only search suppressed but paying FBA fees also.

As said there are new ASINs I wanted to open case but as someone is workng on two cases on same issue I am waiting for some resolution so that I can sort the issue with other ASIN on my own.
Opening case with ss is unfortunately a task I simply would like to avoid :(

On the subject of Disney I would just like an answer as to whether all sellers are restricted from creating ASIN's for Disney and whether this is permanent or temporary?

I have tried to apply for Disney products again.
I was definitely told that they were not accepting new applications. Maybe this was a mistake.
Disney is the one issue I now have left to resolve.
The amount of stress and time I have put into these issues are just stupid.
I dont think seller's are restricted from creating DISNEY brands but the issue is with variation and old listings.
Oddly, many of my other variation listinf under the brand DISNEY seems fine - or should i say fine at the moment.
