2 Step Verification Madness!!
How can I stop using the 2-step verification process on my desktop browsers? It's annoying to have to grab my cell phone# verify each and everytime I want to log into my account. I check the "do not use OTP on this browser" and it doesn't stop.

You cannot, it's mandatory now.

Yeah its a pain and even though our IT team have confirmed that the cookie is indeed saved the amazon website still doesn't see it and makes us get a code every time. We have even tried deleting it and saving it fresh as well as clearing the cache and every other suggestion people have had.

Perhaps you should refer back to your thread regarding this last week or so, where it was explained to you then that you can no longer opt out of it.
So to repeat, you cannot opt out of 2SV anymore.,
Nothing about that has changed since you asked last time.

Hello there @Seller_wM0nLLkM8WJfx
Two-Step verification is now required and mandatory. Please feel free to read this post on it should you want additional information.
You also created a thread on this topic already that can be found here.
Please do not created duplicate threads for the same topic as this can be seen as thread and go against our community guidelines. It also creates confusion within the forum and create unnecessary additional work.
I appreciate your understanding.

but it asking us to do it every time we sign in I have employees that need to log in and use Amazon to ship order and I can't be there every day to log in this is unacceptable

This is addressed in the news release post above.
An authenticator app is recommended for accounts with several users and can help when you’re without cell service.
The below was pulled from the FAQ's linked below:
How does two-step verification work if multiple users access my seller account?
Since two-step verification is tied to the login of the individual accessing the account, there should be no impact to your account as long as everyone accessing it has their own user account. If you have multiple people who access your selling account using the same login credentials, we recommend you set up a unique login for each person accessing the account. Sharing login credentials with multiple people:
- Can create a security risk. If someone leaves your company/organization and has your login credentials, they would have access to your Selling account and the associated buying account, including any credit card or personal information available there.
- Requires all users to have equal access to all devices. If the person who set up two-step verification on the login used to access your seller account isn’t in the office or reachable, everyone who accesses the account would need to have access to both the primary and backup methods for receiving your code; otherwise, all work on the account would need to stop until that person returns.
If you have multiple users who share the same user ID and password for Seller Central, we recommend setting up each user with secondary user permissions. For more information on how to do this, go to Set user permissions. Once the secondary user permissions have been set up, these users will need to setup two-step verification on their first login.

A side question: do secondary users with user permission not have their own method to sign in? With another user ID and password and using another mobile phone? @Seller_aEzr9PjpfpuxN

At my other job, I have several pieces of software that require 2 step. Most of them also have a check box below them that give the option to not require 2 step for "x" amount of time. It would be nice to have that option from Amazon, not from a browser. I would appreciate 2 step if I was working at a less secure location, but when I am working in my home office, I do not need to 2 step every time I log in. Once a week would be fine.

What browser are you using? We use Chrome and have not had your problem, so far knock, on wood.

Well, you tagged 14 different mods for help.
So that would be you.
You may note, I'm not the one complaining about how terrible and unfair Amazon is; that's you.
And don't concern yourself; I'm not worried about you in the least.
(oh, and not sure where you're getting your info about me; but it's wrong).

In Today world, where so much hacking, 2 not 3 steps verification necessary. then people blame amazon that my account is not working, inventory lost, payment lost.
i seen this type of cases physical, and account holder is standing helpless, all payment and inventory transferred in out of country. password changed, so now amazon starting address phone number verification every year.

switch listings over to mecari and help take a stand, they just eliminated selling and buying fees as they understand the abuse amazon sellers have been feeling over the last year and are accomadating the switch.
